Low Floor Conversions
Motability Ireland are the only Irish company carrying out low floor conversions in-house. From our state of the art facility in Ashbourne Co. Meath, our highly trained engineers manufacture, fabricate and trim vehicles into fully wheelchair accessible vehicles.




The main reason in the popularity of Motability Ireland's low floor conversions is that most vehicles do not have the entrance heights that a wheelchair user needs to enter/exit a vehicle in a comfortable and safe manner. Motability Ireland can increase the entrance heights by up to 9 inches which dramatically increases the wheelchair user's eyeline view when stationed in vehicle and also dramtically reduces the gradient of the slope of the ramp compared to fitting a fold out ramp to the standard floor height.
Depending on vehicle make/model the average timescale for a lowered floor conversion is 4 weeks. An assessment maybe required before work can commence to allow the engineers at Motability Ireland to be confident the conversion will meet your individual requirements.
